About Charles Water Heaters

Established in 1978

It all started in 1978 when brothers Michael & Owen Charles opened Rooter Master sewer and drain cleaning in Contra Costa County. Through the eighty's he and his brother expanded into plumbing contracting after acquiring his C-36 plumbing contractors license.

Going into the nineties Michael saw how deteriorated the sewers were, so he expanded into sewer replacement using an open trench method. Going into the two thousands Michael was a pioneer in the new trenchless technologies replacing sewers without open trenching. Around that same time he was also a pioneer in video scoping main sewers to be able to share with customers and future home buyers potential problems with old deteriorated sewers.

Michael in 2012 turned the business over to his son Ryan to run the day to day operations, continuing his legacy. After recently relocating to the Delta Region, we are excited to launch Charles Water Heaters, bringing the same decades of expertise directly to water heater installation, repair, and replacement — serving Rio Vista and opening soon in the Brentwood area.
